Manager Arsène Wenger has drawn comparisons between Spanish midfielders Francesc Fabregas and Fran Merida.
Whilst not wanting to raise the level of expectations on Merida's shoulders, Wenger conceded that both players were similar but that Merida still has some way to go yet before being of the same level as his fellow countryman.
Wenger said: "[Being compared to Fabregas] is a big task as well but I think he has a similar talent.
"You see in training and in the first team, he is always an asset.
"But at the moment in the Premier League you need power and I feel Fran is a late developer physically, but I do think he will come on."

I guess he is also different in that he better at dribling but less so in passing. Fab has that sixth sense in anticipating and predicting when and how opponents and colleague's positions, That is something inate and canty be tought.

Well all l need to say about Merida is that he's improving and he will be our next fabregas in future. All he needs to do is to be stong physical when playing.
