Manager Arsène Wenger admitted that his youngsters lacked experience in order to take their chances against Burnley, resulting in them being knocked out of the Carling Cup.
The Frenchman also revealed that perhaps his youngsters were not focused from the start of the match.
Wenger said: "When you are not focused from the first minute, you don't win this kind of game.
"We had chances but didn't put them away and at that level you pay for it.
"We had the quality to win this competition, but you have to make the maximum of what you have. You have to mix intelligence and experience.
"We did not have the experience but could have made up for that with intelligence."

we could have won this competition but we flopped, not to sure about the quality of the boy wearing pink boots don't know his name but i swear he's played in over 60 games for mighty arsenal. what i'm saying is if after 60 odd appearances a player hasn't made any real impression apart from a odd late goal hear and there he SHOULDN'T be at the club.
