Defender Mikael Silvestre has said that him and his team mates need to improve on their consistency if they are to make a last ditch effort to push for the title.
Silvestre said: "We proved [by winning] against Manchester United and Chelsea that the quality is there so we just have to get the consistency.
"The season is long. It is difficult if you judge the team on the strength of Porto but you cannot expect to perform like that and win anything.
"The squad is big and there are going to be points to catch - on the road to Middlesbrough on Saturday first of all. It's going to be tough but we have got time to grow up.
"We've made it difficult for ourselves so far but we are still in the race."

its sounds so do-able when we talk about it. when it comes down to meeting those expectations, what happens on the pitch is horrendous. i dont know why the players even TALK to the media in these times, when theyre supposed to be kickin themselves into top form if we want to win that trophy come may
