Manager Arsène Wenger says that there are no hard feelings towards Liverpool's Xabi Alonso over the injury suffered by captain Francesc Fabregas.
The two Spaniards were involved in a 50-50 challenge that resulted in Fabregas suffering medial knee ligament damage. He is now ruled out for four months.
Wenger said: "The challenge [by Alonso] was fair and honest, I have no problem with it.
"I don't feel there was any intention to hurt, it was purely accidental.
"It is exactly what I have said many times, it is the kind of thing you accept in the game that can happen."

Hear hear Arsene. We do get quite a bit of rough treatment in games but Xabi's tackle was not dirty. He was just going for the ball same as Cesc. I am gutted we have lost him though for 4 months!

Sorry, Tightarsene, no matter how much you blow smoke up xabi's arse, you can't have him. Bet you are regretting not picking the stitches out of those tight pockets of yours in the summer eh? The best defensive central midfielder in europe just put your only hope of keeping a champions league place on the treatment table for 4 months. Bad luck old chap. Did you see it?
Ah well, I heard of this 4yr old round the corner from me who can apparently trap a ball before he can read. Perhaps he can solve your problems. And whilst you are at it, you must have noticed that your fans actually got behind you when Ade was sent off, and the absolute complete domination of the game that Liverpool showed following half-time until the 63rd minute suddenly changed as your fans gave you.......'support'!!! Perhaps you need to go back to the Arsenal way of your early years, of having a player sent off every game. Then maybe you'd get a bit of backing for your fragile lot from the stands.
Ho, ho, ho. Happy Christmas from Anfield!!!
