Wenger: Title race will be tight

Manager Arsène Wenger says that the league this season will be the tightest he's experienced for a long time.

Mathematically, there are more teams who can go for the title than just the so-called 'Big Four', and Wenger's team is feeling the heat from teams like Aston Villa who are currently sitting in third place.

Premiership champions Manchester United are in fourth place but they have two games in hand.

Wenger said: "I think even up front it could be the tightest race we have seen for a long, long time.

"It looks to me watching the games that everyone can drop points against everyone and for the first time for a long time ... before a game it's not necessarily three points for Manchester United, for Chelsea, for Liverpool, for Arsenal.

"They [the rest of the Premier League] have improved. When we played Wigan Athletic they had [Amr] Zaki and [Kevin] Kilbane on the bench. That was not the case 10 years ago.

"[That's why I think] 78 to 85 points will be enough [to be champions]."

Hi! Arsenal Boys, I was convinced that you were coming home with 3 points yesterday, but you let your hard work and all your efforts slip out due to poor defennce. You must watch where the ball is going always and defend your post securely especially towards the end of each game. Please if it can be helped avoid penalties.
Like your Manager always says I have confidence that you could do better despite the injuries.
You are aware that you are lovely quality Team to be watched, and you have a duty to keep your fans happy.

Well Arsene, pity we will not be in the tight race. The rest of the big four picked up 3 points each whilst we only managed a point. Face it you can't cope with the premier league anymore.
