Wenger criticises Villa's referee visit

Manager Arsène Wenger has criticised Aston Villa over a visit paid by their assistant manager to the referee's quarters at half-time.

The Frenchman was not happy with the amount of 50-50 decisions that went Villa's way.

Wenger said: "I know how it works here. At half-time the referee gets stick and then in the second half every little 50-50 decision goes the other way.

"I waited at half-time to see what happened and I was not disappointed.

"That's what happened. It's not only here. I have nothing to explain more than that."

we should get albiol from valencia.there was rumors about we inquire about him during the summer but no actions were taken.our CB this season is a big joke.our CB look equal to west brom's or sheffield utd's CB.i really hope AW offload Gallas during this transfer season.he's a joke!!

look guys, i think if we buy one or two centre backs it'd be great. your so right mos, we cant hold with these guys. i think bringing in per mertesacker from werder bremen would be a pretty good option; the guys a regular for germany. he's tall and has a speed above average. and when i mean tall thats what i mean, he's huge. perfect against crosses. we need a big bulky guy in out defence, i have doubts about song

I agree, we need vidic & ferdinand type centre halfs.
I was impressed with Diaby, Denilson, Eboue and Nasri. I felt they all played there part for the missing Cesc but until we sort out our Centre Halfs, we aint going no where.

I cant believe the excuses this guy comes up with. I have never seen Arsene Wenger not moan after a match unless Arsenal have won. Instead of these excuses why dont you buy two good centre backs that can actually defend. We should have picked up three points against Liverpool but Djourou was sleeping for that long ball and the ever experienced Gallas did not need to make that tackle on Agbonlahor yesterday and im not even going to get started on Toure...if Man City are willing to offer 10 million for him then i would accept that all day long. Look at Skertel, liverpool only paid around 8 million for him and his one of the best defenders in the country, why cant we buy someone like him. Cant anybody see how bad our defence is or is it just me.

More excuses. Why doesn't he come out and admit we don't have players of sufficient quality to finish in the Top 4?

Toure and Gallas have been found wanting in almost every pressure situation these past 2 years - and yet we still left to rely on them.
