Wenger praise for Bendtner

After scoring the winning goal in yesterday's match against Bolton Wanderers, Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner has been praised by manager Arsène Wenger.

Bendtner came off the bench to score the only goal of the game in the 84th minute, but has come under criticism from some quarters for his apparent lack of interest during a season of indifference for the Gunners.

Wenger said: "You could say he didn't have the best passing game today but he could have scored two goals.

"That sums up what a striker is. It is so cold for the subs when you come on it is not easy. You sit there for an hour and you start to warm up until you come on.

"When you really get into the game, the game is over. When Nicklas came on there were 15 minutes left and he had no real time to warm up really.

"He had an injury problem with his ankle and I thought it affected his game a little bit, especially with his back to goal.

"He looks in training as if he is sharp again. He had some difficult periods because of those problems with his ankle but now slowly he is getting back to where he will be."

I have said it that Bentner is not good for first half. He is very good as a second half player. Then he will not be much under pressure. Diaby was the time waster, Vela brought out the spark

wenger, sure an economist but pls consider the future of the club for the sake of the FANS. we need the CUPS, the PRESTIGE and the BUOYANCY again in a lifetime. its been long you know, and we cant get it if the boss continues to gamble with the Game. Wenger knows wat to do and ao to go about it, so let the big boss do the thing for the club again.
but wait guys
are we really goin to make FAme with little income(wengers theory)?

am worried about the color of our away jerseys this season(the yellow)we had similar problems in 2005 when we used yellow.we had to struggle to qualify for champ league.
we dont need the yellow jersey anymore.its bad luck.and as for bendtner,we need to do away wit him now cos his mind isnt here.weenger needs to buy raw talent from east europe(defenders and strikers)chelsea,man u liverpool and co ,all buy cheap from east

i prefer carlos vela as he have more speed
and think properly if the time is not right he would not shoot but pass but bendtner would try a shoot and got reflected

it is normal that a coach any coach do reconfort his players,but we fans shouldnt be fooled by politics..you should be happy if a defender scores a goal but when a striker scores one goal in about 10 games then you should be concerned and alarmed..wenger is spining again to not bring what is needed for the club

I really like Bendtner, He has potential. He's still young and thats what people have to remember. He proved yesterday he can score crucial goals.
