Dutch coach Dennis Bergkamp has said that he would not rule out a role at former club Arsenal.
Many Arsenal fans are hoping that Bergkamp would return to the club and bring the glory years back to the club, together with Portsmouth manager Tony Adams.
Bergkamp said: "I wouldn't rule out [working at Arsenal in some capacity].
"I really love this club and the country and I love working here. I would advise everyone to work in England, as a player or a coach, it just breathes football. It is fantastic for the game.
"I think when I first came it was a case that [there was a lack of technical ability]. Then a lot of foreign players came in and probably improved the game.
"Now I feel that there are foreign players who are coming in who aren't improving the game because you've got English players who are technically better.
"It has changed. If you only look at Arsenal for example, you have 16-year-olds with fantastic technique who came through the system so you must be doing something right."

I don't see Dennis as a manager. But he would be a fantastic coach for starters.

Dennis will never be manager at Arsenal, he has a complete fear of flying so wouldn't be much good away from home in Europe would he? Arsene jets off all over the world watching games and making appearances. How would Dennis do that?

Bergkamp is the most gifted player to have graced arsenal, and while there is no guarantee that gifted players make successful managers/coaches, there is every chance that experience at one of the best accademies in the world (ajax), that he will use his intelligence and experience to work at the top level. I, for one, would welcome Dennis, to maintain the integrity and articulation that has so been a trademark in our history, and particularly, under Wenger. He knowa players, knows the game, and most importantly, knows the ethos of Arsenal. There will be life after Arsene, and former players, the like of Dennis and Tony Adams will be the future lifeblood of our great club.
