Wenger: It is important we don't fall away further

Manager Arsène Wenger has highlighted the importance of the 3-1 win over Hull City, as league leaders Manchester United and Chelsea both won.

Close contenders Aston Villa also gained three points and Wenger says that it was important his team did not fall further behind the league leaders.

Wenger said: "There was extra pressure [after the results earlier] and we knew we couldn't afford to drop points and it is good that the team showed they can cope with that.

"Our ambition is that we are up for it, we are determined and have a strong resolve. You will see us give everything to finish as high up as we can.

"I am sure that you will see some more surprises this season, because there were nearly some today and that shows until the end, we want to give everything to come back."

what you say is tru but im afraid most arsenal fnas dont feel the same, they want results and if arsenal get results, its of with wenger, good point you have got

wenger got to do something fast before the transfer deadline because the league is not what it use to be 2-3 years ago when it always be the big four all the time for the champions league man u,chelsea,liverpool and us the other teams are catching up now so we have to take nothing for granted

fall away????we have fallen away the last 4 seasons maybe last year was our best season up til february when gallas lost the plot ...why captain ??why the holy no 10 shirt???i believe this is the worst season in a long time and as a fan who pays money i have the right to express my views did anybody watch eboues performance on saturday how does he get on the first team explain???if wenger thinks this is a world class team think again..get arshavin now and put the number 10 shirt on him and get us back to were we should be no excuses!!!!!!!!

arsene wenger is simbly the best manager around! he does it his way regardless of other peoples comments.. But in the same time, he accepts whenwhat he does is wrong and needs improvement.. determined and passionate of what is he doing at the momment. conggratulations wenger!!
