Hleb: Arshavin would enjoy it at Arsenal

Barcelona winger winger Alexander Hleb has said that Russian playmaker Andrei Arshavin would prosper at his former club.

Hleb said: "Wenger always shows that he believes in his players.

"It gives the players great energy and helps in any situation.

"I am sure that if Andrei joins Arsenal, it will work out well. There, he would be an even bigger star.

"He needs to train well and be himself. Arshavin is a top-class footballer and I think he would fit into Arsenal's plans.

"However, it would be important for him to learn English."

If only we still had Hleb...a magician on the ball.Cant beleive we have turned DOWN a bid on the (completely useless) Eboue.That tells me we have no intention(repeat INTENTION) of signing Arshavin(or indeed anyone else).Its all a con.

Hleb can shut the hell up and concentrate on Barca. All he's done since he left is talk about us. If he was this passionate about the club when he was here we might have won something!

I think that Arshavin is better than Alexander Hleb. He has excellent dribbling and he is very stubborn. I hope that Arsenal will play better with Arshavin. And Arshavin is forward, not midfielder.

its good to hear frm the former one....but arshavin's move seems to be in a hung.....still 3m pounds needed to match zenit's expetation......this muck strict wage structure seems not good at all

Arshavin would take the Fabregas role until el Capitan gets back. Thereafter Id push him wide to the right. Ideally Id put him in a 5 man midfield behind a lone striker, with Walcott on the right, a solid DM, Fab and Nasri

In the still hypothetical situation that Arshavin arrives at the emirates, i think he'd be asked to play the hleb role on the right. So it's nice for the man himself to give Arshavin a nudge (or final push) to help him cross the line.

i would want Hleb back over Arshavin anyday, Hleb is in the top four wingers in the world il put him up there with messi and ronaldo when he was at Arsenal.

We want you back, for reinforcement in our team, you were a good pair with Eboue I liked your combination especially in the second half of each game when you were changing the style, you played deep and Eboue go up.
