Defender Emmanuel Eboue is going to be staying at Arsenal, insists the player's agent.
The 25-year-old is seen as a valuable member of the Londoners' squad and Eboue's agent, Franjo Vranjkovic, revealed Wenger wants the player to commit his long-term future to the Emirates.
Vranjkovic said: "We received an official request from Atletico Madrid which was passed to Arsenal.
"I have the fax from director Ken Friar who wrote to me to say they are not interested in the offer.
"Then I received a call from Arsène Wenger, who invited me to go to England to start negotiations over a renewal.
"I see no possibility that the player will leave Arsenal."

Eboue staying at Arsenal and commiting his long term future to the gunners is a travesty. He is nothing short of awful, Wenger wanting him to him to stay confuses me and makes me question the mans genius.

I would like to say that this is the most mind baffling thing in world football to me. . . Kaka moving to manchester city would have surprised me less than Wenger wanting to actually hang on to this guy. . .
