Wenger: Eduardo close to a return

Striker Eduardo da Silva is close to a return to the Arsenal first team, with manager Arsène Wenger saying that he is probably one or two games away from being available for selection.

The Brazilian broke his leg in two places during the match against Birmingham earlier last year and has made a speedy recovery.

Wenger said: "He needs one or two more games.

"We will maybe organise a game behind closed doors next week and he should also play for Croatia in an international friendly.

"After that, he should be ready."

Knowing that Eduardo is to very close to a first team return is great, may be greater than a probable announcement of the signing of Arshavin. Considering the serious nature of his injury & for him to be returning before Rosicky, shows how strong Eduardo is mentally. He will suurely be a quality addition to the attack.
