Midfielder and defender Emmanuel Eboue has apologised for his sending off over the weekend during the match against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Ivory Coast international's dismissal put the Gunners on the backfoot but they still managed to grind out a draw against their local rivals.
Eboue also felt that while his second booking was deserved, the first was harsh, but Emmanuel, if you had already been booked, why weren't you more careful?
Eboue said: "I am sorry. This game was very, very important for us.
"We must always win when we play against Tottenham and give our best for the fans.
"I am so disappointed to get the red card but I say thank you to my friends [team-mates] who gave everything.
"We drew and we are happy. It is a good point for us after playing so long with 11 v 10.
"For the first yellow card I did not say anything bad.
"I was in front of the ball and I was talking with Almunia [following a foul]. After that I said [to the referee] you have to whistle before and he said OK.
"I came back to take my place and then he called me and gave me a yellow card. I don't really understand why.
"For the second one, I touched him. I put my leg up because [Modric] had touched me before in front of the referee and he did not say anything.
"He kicked me when I tried to go forward and I put my leg up. The second card is normal, I accept it.
"But for me the referee was not good today. It was a goal [in the first half]. I don't know why he did not give it. The referee said I touched Woodgate but I did not.
"I know have to control myself [on the pitch] but I did not want to let Tottenham win. I just wanted to give my best."

I am one of those who normally defends Eboue but I am running out of things to say for the guy!! I do think (unlike most fans) that eboue is a very good player, but he really needs to sort his life out, you cant go round giving it to the ref (he told you 3 times to go away m8) nor can you kick players for a harmless knock you received! I very dissapointed in him for this, very!!!

Eboue should either apologise properly or keep his mouth shut. He let his manager down, his team down and his fans down and then makes a half-hearted apology in which he, in both incidences, tries to blame someone else. He should be fined & suspended for three games by Arsene Wenger - and I don't think he will be missed.

Sorry in a word without reflecting it on the field is useless. We won't accept it.

It is funny that he says that I didn't want Spurs to win. He says that it was an important match for us. He knows and we Arsenal fans know that is a lie for him to say that all he said was that he was in front of the ball. He said more than that or else he wouldn't have been sent off. I am tired of his actions and it needs to be address.
