Winger Samir Nasri admits that AS Roma's approach to the tie against Arsenal provided an advantage to him and his team mates.
The Gunners usually struggle to break down Premier League teams but had no problems creating chances against the Italians' defence.
Nasri said: "Unlike in the league, tonight we had more space to move.
"We have managed to create the gaps we needed and we made a lot of movement.
"Now we have to try to repeat the same performance again. With a 1-0 lead one would try to play the second leg in its usual way.
"We have seen that it is important not to let this team play their own game, that's what we succeeded very well tonight."

Yes and that is what made it a good game
In the premier league too many teams only play defensive and that is making it boring
You watch the spanish league and all they do is attack.
Much more exciting.
So come on all you premier league sides play the same way people pay good money and want attacking and entertaining football
