Manager Arsène Wenger has praised new signing Andrey Arshavin, saying that the Russian international is improving from game to game.
The forward looked dangerous on the ball and is steadily becoming Arsenal's new fulcrum in attach, echoing memories of one Dennis Bergkamp, who played in the shadow striker role.
Arshavin has yet to score for the club, but has come close on several occasions.
Wenger said: "Arshavin is improving from game to game.
"He showed class and composure tonight. He was a bit unlucky with his finishing but overall you see the class was there."
