Manager Arsène Wenger says that his young side showed that they have the desire and quality to progress further in the Champions League.
Playing away to Villareal, the Gunners went behind to an early strike and saw Manuel Almunia and William Gallas hobble off the field due to injury.
But they held on and equalised in the second half, securing a vital away goal to take back to North London.
Wenger said: "This team has shown the whole season they are mentally very strong and when they have back to the wall, these young players always find an answer which is very interesting for a young team.
"I believe we have created momentum. We are a very young team, but are able to focus.
"We have shown with the consistency we have in the Premier League that we are able to concentrate every three days, and at that age, that is a big quality."

I thought Nasri was non-existant, perhaps struggling from the remnants of the flu until he moved inside. Theo couldn't connect with a pass if his life depended upon it....cmon mate run a little further on them buggers...Cesc needs to get involved more, still searching for his tandem mate in midfield I think...too bad Ashy is cup tied...Denilsons got to stop telegraphing passes up the middle, but other than that, he and Song did well behind Cesc. Deju and Faby did well coming off the bench cold...I think they just got a little awe struck at the start of that game....lets not start the 1 nil down scenario again boys....
