Defender Kolo Touré is trying to draw out the positives from the weekend's 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, saying that the experience of playing in an FA Cup semi-final would be invaluable experience for the youngsters.
Theo Walcott gave Arsenal an early lead in the match at Wembley but Chelsea fought back to win with goals by Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba.
It was the first time many of the Arsenal players had been involved in such a significant match and Touré hopes the experience will stand them in good stead.
Touré said: "You can only learn from these types of games, because they are so intense.
"When you make some mistakes, they can cost you, which is what happened against Chelsea.
"We will just have to try not to do that again."
