Manager Arsène Wenger has refused to lay blame on keeper Lukasz Fabianski for the 2-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
Many quarters are criticising Fabianski's performance, saying that he was to blame for conceding two 'cheap' goals to the Gunners' West London rivals.
But Wenger has instead praised Fabianski, saying that the Polish international is destined to be a 'great keeper'.
Wenger said: "It would be unfair to put too much responsibility for this defeat on Fabianski.
"I just want to see him recover because I firmly believe he will be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
"He has the talent. He is brave, he is intelligent and technically he is very good.
"He was not at his best on Saturday but we have to accept that.
"It can happen to anyone, just as it happened to Petr Cech on Tuesday."

I could write Arsene Wengers response after each match but I have a problem - do the players end up believing him and feel they don't have to try harder or do they know (like most of us) that he's talking nonsense. I would so appreciate the truth - just once. I actually don't place all the blame on Fabianski. If our strikers had scored goals - like they should have - then if he made a mistake or two, no problem! I actually have great respect for Arsene Wenger but I believe that he developed a huge ego this season. Wanted to show everyone what his 'kids' could do so didn't buy at beginning of season. Bad mistake. Played the wrong team on Saturday. To put Diaby in the team instread of AA. BAD. Buys Man U's off-castes. Could have kept Senderos. Now wants to buy Babel. Does he believe he is a better manager than Benitez? Babel is not great and never will be.

I can't see this to happen.
