Van Persie: I want to end this season on a high

Striker Robin van Persie is determined to end Arsenal's season on a high, despite seeing his club's best chance of landing a trophy disappear over the weekend.

The Gunners lost 2-1 to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, and it will be an all Blue final at Wembley.

However, it is still possible to win a trophy in the form of the Champions League, and van Persie wants his side to put the past behind them and focus on earning a strong end to the season.

The Dutch international said: "We still have two targets now — that is the Champions League final and to finish fourth, or even third in the league," the Dutchman said.

"We are disappointed, but we need to get our stuff together and fight for the other two targets.

"We have to play the game against Liverpool on Tuesday now, whether you are happy or if you are not happy.

"It is the Premier League and we need those points, but I am confident because we have strong characters.

"Every experience makes you stronger, a good one and definitely a bad one.

"We have to look game by game, because if you look at the schedule from now until the end of the season, it makes you a bit dizzy because we have big games every three or four days."

What is up with that lame formation 4-2-3-1. Fabregas was stuck on an island. The spacing was too far apart.

You can't play your passing-game when players are miles apart. Arsenal is a 4-4-2 team. We played not to lose. Wr should have played to win

The team did not really turn up on Saturday and we did not have enough of the best players on the pitch
Why leave Nasri, Arshavin and Eduardo on the bench
Robin needs to do the business at the crucial times.
It is no good him saying he wants to win something this season if he is not prepared to give it everything he has like Chelsea did.

I have never come across a batch of players that have so many injuries. Seems to be that they are babied too much. Get out there a do your all for your club.

Time to stop talking and get out there and do the business. You are capable of it but always fall at the last hurdle.
Prove the pundits wrong this time. Just go for it you have nothing to lose.
