Playmaker Andrey Arshavin has said that he wants to continue scoring more goals for Arsenal, after his double brace against Liverpool in midweek.
The Gunners didn't come away with three points as they also conceded four but the Russian international follows in the footsteps of Julio Baptista when the Brazilian also netted four against Liverpool in the League Cup.
However, Arshavin wants to continue playing for Arsenal whilst Baptista left after just one season in North London.
Arshavin said: "I was told Baptista scored four at Liverpool but after that he finished playing for Arsenal. I want to keep playing after this!
"It was unbelievable football but it is England! In my career I've scored two hat-tricks but never four in a game. It just happens sometimes that every shot flies into the target.
"I need time and I have to go through pre-season and everything will be in a good place then, so I will be better.
"But I think the team will be as well and that is more important than just me being better.
"These games are still difficult for me. If you look at the first half against Liverpool, you never saw me at all — until I scored the first goal in one moment. I am trying but I still need time."
