Manager Arsène Wenger has heaped praise on goalkeeper Manuel Almunia after the Spaniard single-handedly kept his side in their Champions League semi-final tie against Manchester United.
The Gunners lost 1-0 but it could have been much more had it not been for a number of top-class saves from Almunia.
Wenger said: "A player who had a big game in a big game! He was excellent, top class in every sense.
"The reading of the game, his decision making, his sharpness.
"He was really top class tonight."
