Adebayor: We are still improving

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor is calling for Arsenal fans to be patient as the squad is still improving following their Champions League semi-final exit.

The Togolese international was reflecting on a night of United dominance as the Gunners' domestic rivals crushed them 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Adebayor said: "This season we are still progressing.

"Don't forget that last year we only reached the quarter-final and now this year we got to the semi-final. I think next season Arsenal have a chance to win it.

"When we started the game, I thought 'we are going to kill them off', but we made a mistake and they were quick to punish us.

"From then on we knew it was going to be hard. [Cristiano] Ronaldo scored a great free kick and we knew that was it."

"They deserve to be in the final."

What a disappointment he is staying, Ade seems to think he has stepped into Henry's boots, cant anyone tell him he 's as much use as Frannie Jeffers!
We wont win trophies with him as out front man, doom and gloom ahead!
Please Arsene, Sell him!!!

Hey guys why make Ade a culprit in all of these, forgetting the mistakes Wenger made with his sales and lack of replacements,we have a board that is not committed to winning trophies thats why there is no pressure on him.Not a single player showed the committment of Vieira,Adams,Keown etc, in that match.Fab,Ade RVP,all want to win but when it matters they all fade out.I think we should start qustioning Arsene on why his players cannot perform on the day.Its not Ade,there is a problem with the Arsenal that need sorting out.

Ade, you have taken more than a step back, it seems you don't want to perform any extra work on the pitch, loosing challenges when you really should win, unable to receive and keep the ball, no cleaver runs. your finishing might have improved, but it didn't use to mather as your hard work used to bring a dozen deasn't goalscoring opportunities.

OF all the players I am predominantly disapointed on you, where is your fighting spirit?!?

Who's talking? Adebayor the bigest flop & lazy of all time. I thnk its true it was men vs baby. Wenger is the bigest problem we're facing now coz he loses his former determination & ambition to win any trophy. He is so sturborn who's alwys right and others are wrong. Arsenal is not a nursery school or kindergaten bt a giant bt Wenger has changed and reduced it to kindergaten. We are tired of next season,we are tired of flop players like Adebayor. We need players who knws wht they want and go for it. Ade must go.

Arsenal should mark man on man and not give united space to move freely.Attack the back four and stop playing in circles giving united time to regroup.Next match drop adebayour and wilcot who were marked out of the game .Bring brentner Vela and the Brazilians in.In the Summer buy English defenders who are hard tacklers ,from the lower divisions .They are more dedicated.

Patient we can not be because players like Ade, Gallas and Toure have been given chance after chance to prove them selves.

People, pay attention to the line-up and stop blaming the youngsters. Vela, Ramsey, Wil, Jourou and co were not given a chance to shine this season. Chances went to the old guard composed of Ade (apparently 24-25), Gallas,Toure, and they messed up big time.

Stop blaming the wonder kids, because they are hardly given a chance.

The blame for our failures over the last four season rent squarely on the managers shoulders. for (1) selling real gunners such as Flamini and Gilbelto without any credible replacement (2) not off-loading Ade-good4-nothing-money to buy a real striker (3) bringing the own goal kind and panic master (Sylvester) to Arsenal, and (4) failure to buy a real center halve to partner Jourou coz the rest of them defenders a rubbish.

Last night was a lesson for blind believers that money does not grow on trees and that a farmers can only harvest what he planted. Wenger failed to bring-in players worthy of winning a trophy and i doubt whether Arsenal will ever win a trophy under Wenger unless is the Carling Cup that he keeps throwing away.

True Gunner with open eyes.

SELL;
Ade (lazy and not threatening enough)
Bedtner (tries hard but simply not enough quality)
Walcott (only has pace, constantly loses the ball)
Eboue (cannot pass, cross or shoot straight)
Diaby (inability to play simple or pass straight)

NEED;
Goals (need someone with speed, two feet and desire. Think Tevez, Torres, Villa)
Midfield (simple passer who can tackle with strength and desire whilst keeping a cool head)
Defense (centre half x2 URGENTLY. Current lot can be reserves. We need a deep experienced squad!!!)

I like The Squad. Just a Strong center, back we will need. Silverster is too old slow to react. There is a reason why man u let him go. Why do we get stuck with recycle players? Oh and lets not forget RVP needs to go. He is One of my favorite players in Arsenal. But he has no attitiude, no heart, and is not comitted to our team. A player like that, we dont need.

I dont think we should get rid of Wenger, but i do believe that the board need to put more pressure on him to win silverware. Wenger has done a lot for Arsenal, but because of that there is so much respect for the man that there is not enough pressure. He is therefore in a comfort zone! We all know the Wenger can build a team to win silverware, he has done it before. We are still a few signings behind the likes of Man U and Chelsea. Just my opinion, dont bite my head off!

It was not a men against the boys match.
It was Man U players who had desire, determination and pride playing for their club and respect for their manager!!. We have a great manager who deserves better from his players and a club who pay these players a hell of alot of money and it is about time they got a return
I get fed up with players like RVP who says he may not sign a new contract until Arsenal FC show their commitment on wanting to win trophies
It is for him and his team mates to perform week in and week out to win the trophies don't lay the blame on the club or the manager.
That team played with no desire what so ever.

Ade may as well go as he shows absolutely not interest at all.
How I dream of the days when Henry was our striker.
He has never been replaced.
Thank god we will have Arshavin in the team for next years Champions League.

I think it fair to say that Ade's form has been poor all season. There have been so many occasions when his first touch has been terrible and we are lucky if puts one goal away in 5 chances. In a way he reminds me of Baptista, keeps being played but really isnt good enough. Hopefully he will move on this summer, because if he stays, I believe we will have another trophy less season next year. Maybe its time for Theo to play up front?

with such a young squad they have done well and semi final s by no way failure but we really need to sort out the back with a good strong centre half with leadership qualities!!! couple are nt good enough who ll remain nameless but we need to invest fairly substancially in the summer!!! we need quality and experience not more kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
