Silvestre: Next season starts now

Defender Mikael Silvestre says that the next season for his side starts with Saturday's clash against Premiership champions Manchester United.

The Gunners have suffered two heavy home defeats in the space of a week to their "closest" rivals and Silvestre is calling on his team mates to prove their worth for next season.

Silvestre said: "Saturday's game at Man United is a good chance to prove to ourselves that we have got what it takes to fight and be on top of the league for next season.

"All the players now have to fight for their spots and show the boss they deserve to be there and have the will to defend Arsenal's colours.

"It is always a game to look forward to. It will be tough going back there. We need to play like we started against Chelsea and make sure it goes our way when it is about scoring goals."

Let's try and beat them or draw at old trafford bcuz they beat us twice we need to show up and revenge things are getting worse . Please mr wenger bring the right players in the right club ,the right positions and the right time. We the fans from gambia are so dissappointed in the last 4 years.

We need to make a few changes in the squad. We can sell players like Fabregas,Nasri, Arshavin etc. and buy players like Berbatov, Maldini, Favalli, Brocchi, Shevchenkho , Viera , Figo , Ronaldo (Brazil) .
We need such experienced players. We must honour Silvestre with a new 4 year contract with wages 80,000 pounds for his excellent contributions this season.

much as I'd like us 2 derail Man U 's title ,I think it is more beneficial 2 us if man u give us a good hiding so that any doubts wenger has about are defenders(central) being good enough are finaly laid to rest.Any 12 yearold boy can and has seen for the past 3 seasons that we need a proper centre half ...we were so close to winning something last year but the lack of a decent central defender let us down time after time...and that must demorolise our fantastic creative players, wenger is as stubborn as a mule...if we had a john terry or a vidic over the last 2 seasons then we would've won something for sure,.wengers 's throwing all his good work down the drain.

Hahaha just don't let them score more then 5 ,,, becuse i feel it will be a 10-0 this time , they all have to wake up our defence is Sh*t , when we score a goal they can score 2 back , what that mean , it's mean we need a CDM defender Medfilder the end of story ...

i'm an arsenal fan but personally i wish arsenal dont show up. or if dey show up, dey get beaten. cos if dey show up n we win, wenger wil feel d team has wot it takes it win trophies n may decide not to buy. but if we get beaten, it wil further buttress d point dat we need a world class DM and CB. plus i cant stand d humilation of conceding 4 goals again.
