Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has signed a new contract with Arsenal, emphasising his commitment to the club and manager Arsène Wenger's trust in him.
Fabianski said: "It's a big motivation for me to keep working hard and it shows that the club believe in me.
"I'll be doing everything I can to repay that belief by helping Arsenal to win trophies in the coming years."
Wenger said: I rate Lukasz highly and I am very pleased that he has committed his future to the club.
"I believe he is a top competitor, he's intelligent and reads the game very well and has all the ingredients to be successful in his position."

LiM what are you talking about? Fabianski's agility and shot stopping are excellent....are you sure you're talking about the right person? Also to say he's 'lucky' for making good saves is madness....do you ever watch football?

He is a young goal keeper, of course not as experienced as Almunia, but he is still developing. Note that we need an additional but better goal keeper than those two. We have noted with disappointment that Arsenal has been conceding cheap goals which our goal keepers could have stopped!
Fabianski signing a new contract does not mean that he is automatically in the first team. He has alot to improve, let him train had to reach that standard.
Please mr manager, add a very good goal keeper to the squad in order to challenge for titles.

In my opinion it was a mistake to sign a new contract with him. He's not an Arsenal level player. Why we can't sign a really good GK? We'd really need one!

I think he has a lot to improve on ...
he doesn't look agile to me
his shot-stopping needs to be improved
whenever he managed to palm the ball away, it's not convincing
enough to mehis positioning is awful
i remember in one of the matches he played in (i think it's the 4-4 draw with
Liverpool but nt confirmed), he was back-peddling and ended up behind the
goal-line ... although he managed to palm the ball away, the ball has already
crossed the ball by then .. i thought that's an awfully foolish thing to do as a
goalie - maybe he still can't handle the stress yet
I think he was plain lucky during the few times when he managed to stop more than 1 shot consecutively ... cos i did not reallie see him move at all after the
first stop ... he merely recovered at the same spothopefully he will make a vast improvement
cos Almunia wasn't too convincing to me at first (though definitely better
than Fabianski now), he is now a top-notched goalie in my opinionCheers
