Clichy: Madrid? Meh.

Defender Gal Clichy has denied rumours that he is on the verge of signing a lucrative deal with Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has been one of Arsenal's more consistent performers and media reports indicated that he was at the top of the Spanish giant's wishlist.

But Clichy has said that he's committed to Arsenal: "I heard there is an interest from Real Madrid, but I have a contract with Arsenal which I intend to respect unless the club say otherwise.

"It is great to be linked with Real, but I want to win things with Arsenal."

Those who advocate for Clichy to go,am sure they are enemy within. Clichy is the only Man who give all to Arsenal. One mistake cannot make anyone devorce his wife. Clichy must stay in Emirates n whoever want him to go,he/she is free to join cashley cole in Chelsky.

Mohammed Zidan did`nt transfer out of Egypt last year! He played in Denmark before transfering to German football. Zidan first played for AB Copenhagen, then FC Midtjylland before moving to Werder Bremen about 5 years ago. Since then he has played in Mainz and Hamburger SV, before moving to Dortmund where he currently playes. Get your facts straight.

Dont really care about Clichy. His blunder at Birmingham last year cost us the title. So much for him helping us win titles. We should sell him if Madrid is ready to pay silly money.

Muhammad zidan is quality but is not willing to move he was only just transferec out of egypt last year and due to the way they play the game in the middle east it is very unlikely e is goin to make more that 2 or 3 transfers in his carrer

The best thing to come out of all these annoying, persistent rumours is that we are seeing loyalty from the boys. Clichy, Fabregas, Sagna all have come out and stated their intentions to stay with the Arsenal and to win things with this club. Don't see players from Chelsea or United pledging the same loyalty do we!

Let just hope that we can keep both Clichy and Gibbs. Although Gibbs is young, he done well and surely he will try harder to push into the team. I wonder how long can we keep this thing since seeing Gibbs performance i can safely say he's good enough to play for UEFA cup team.

I'm not sure how many of you have been keeping an eye on the Confed Cup going on in South Africa?

There is this huge left back named Matthew Booth that plays for the South African team. He is brilliant. He's got a big precences and he's got really good vision. I hope we have a few scouts down there because we could pick him up for dirt cheap, and he would do really well for us.

Another player is an Egyption forward named Zidane. Do me a favour and check out a few of the games. And comment on who you think we should be keeping an eye on.

We are at the period where speculations about players movement is rife. Most of this turn out to be just rumour & some end up being true. But one thing we must understand is that we are in the world cup season where every player would love to earn a first team shirt in order to be part of his country's contingent to the mundial. Clichy like Fabrigas or Sagna, knows they are a very important part of Arsenal's first team. No matter how lucrative the Madrid or Barcelona offer is, they certainly would not be guaranteed a consistent first team action. Therefore, they are wise enough to know that Arsenal will guarantee their tickets to be part of their respective country's party to the world cup. Having said that, those with less playing time like Eboue, (oh how he hated it though) , would want to seek playing time elsewhere to keep his place in his national team. This is the sort of predicament most players faced during world cup seasons.

That'd be disastrous if Clichy were to leave... Gibbs is good but he's young and will learn tremendously from the Frenchman... I hope he stays for at least 2 more seasons before moving out....
