Gazidis starts to build his team

Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis has started building his own team of top executives to help him with the management of the club.

With manager Arsène Wenger concerned with building his team on the pitch to compete for honours, Mr Gazidis is looking for experienced people to fill five key positions: Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Director, Head of Human Resources, General Counsel and a strategist to help with the management of player contracts.

Crucially, the role of General Counsel will require someone being able to deal with the power struggle between American tycoon Stan Kroenke and billionaire investor Alisher Usmanov and being experienced in the takeover code.
