Birmingham deny talks with Vieira

Birmingham City have denied that they have opened talks with former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira over a potential move to the Midlands club.

Rumours in the press indicated that the Blues were looking to sign the 1998 World Cup winner, but a statement from the club said that Vieira was more interested in a move to a club on the continent.

The statement read: "Vieira himself has made it clear that he has several options on the table and would favour a move to a club based on the continent.

"Birmingham City reminds supporters that as and when there are transfers to confirm they will hear it first, and official, at bcfc.com."

is it just me, or would vieira coming back to arsenal be a bad idea? we could get him on a rolling contract and he may not play all the games but wud do the job i think. especially for a cheap price. get him in and a younger player like veloso.
