Wenger pays tribute to Adebayor

Manager Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to striker Emmanuel Adebayor after the Togolese international completed his move to Manchester City.

Wenger said: "We want to wish him well and thank him for everything he has done for the club.

"I wish him well, I am sure he will give something special to Man City."

But the Frenchman is not one to reflect on the past, already making plans to replace Adebayor within the team.

Wenger added: "On our side we have Tomas Rosicky back and Eduardo back on Monday in full training.

"We have lost a big striker but gained one offensive player and one striker."

Mr Wenger by saying that we have lost Ade and gained Rosicky and Eduardo, does this imply that we won't get a better stricker. Mr Manager sir do not count on players who had long injuries and have been off for a whole season. When Eduardo came back, he played two to three games and he was down again. This is expected after such injuries. Wr Wenger knows better. So please by all means (especially now that you have money from Ade) get an additional stricker much better than Ade. We are not advocating for a better stricker because Ade has gone, even if he hadn't gone there was need for one. This coming season we should get atleast a trophy.

Adebayor was a liability to Arsenal,he can't run with the ball & take on defenders like a real striker does, bad attitude, goal shy & very lazy to equate him with other stikers we had before him.Now Wenger get us a no-nonsense striker coz we have plenty of supply & i'ts the finishing that cost us trophies.

Mr. Wenger, you don't have to do this to Adebayor cause he don't deserve it! He didn't show his thankful to Mr. Wenger and the club for making him who he is today. He is just a player with bad attitude and behavior, out of Arsenal, he is nothing.

Sale of Adebayor is a great move .. it would be better if Arsenal is to dispose off over-rated silvestre.

Actually we have eduardo and rosicky back but we lost ade which definitely reduce the depth of the team. Arsene should not forget in hurry how injury and lack of experience indepth affected our trophy hunt last season. The more... the merrier...

to be honest i am pretty sad to see ade leave to a club that a club that is growing with support because of their finances.
But all gunners look up, we have a very good attacking team and ade did not have a very good season which was not favored by many fans. if anything we need more defense which i think Arsene will fix. Thank You.
