Cole speaks his mind again ... without thinking

Former Gunners full-back Ashley Cole has come out speaking his mind again, and again forgetting about the need to be diplomatic when you're a public figure.

The England international sealed a controversial move to Chelsea a few seasons back and has been a hate figure for most Arsenal fans since.

And it doesn't seem like he will be winning any more fans with his latest outburst, saying that he hopes billionaires Manchester City finishes above the club he joined as a boy.

Cole said: "I have friends at City and I hope they do really well - and that they finish above Arsenal.

"I think it's going to be hard for City but they could do it. They may click straight away and it's magic. I hope they do."

Who do u think ur Mr. Cole? We all know that your trying to win the concentration of Hunges so that he turns back to you. But Man City are after Strikers only, so i guess u dont fit to their plans unless u change were a striker

I agree with everything apart from what you said about Shaun-Wright Phillips. Let's not forget he went back to Man City before the billionaires came in as he wanted to play football and not be a squad player at Chelski. Let's not forget Arsenal had the opportunity to sign Shaun for FREE when his legendary father Ian tried to get him at the Arsenal.

Ashley Cole is a model professional, you cant blame the guy for jumping from a sinking ship. I think he probably left Arsenal as he was the only English speaking player, you cant really blame him.

I don't know why Arsenal fans are so bitter, get over it boys! I wish you all luck in the Europa league after Man City replace you :)

What it shows is that Arsenal are now such a figure of fun even the despicable Cole thinks he can get away with slagging the club. The press seemed to appreciate the joke and didn't quibble much.

Good and succesful player is the one who doesn't talk rubbish to the media like Cash-ley.I think arsenal are better than Chelsea (full of pensioners). Man city will their usual position because Hughes will play eleven strikers,while seing chelsea sacking Carlo on Xmass.They'll finish fifth behind Villa.Arsenal crowned or runners-up.

It's so funny to hear you poor arsenal fans get so worked up by the brainless Cole. We never wanted him although he had a decent season last year. But then again look how Gallas has declined since he was a medal winning star at Chelsea. Anyway Cole will no doubt be playing for Stoke in a couple of years. So relax and don't let the money grabbing twit upset you. And please try and improve next season. It makes our games so much more interesting. Besides London has yet to win the CL. There is work to be done.

A Cole was a potential superstar at Arsenal, now he is a mediocre squad player at best. No wonder he is dissapointed with life. He had his head turned by money and will never be remembered for anything besides being a greedy little squad player. Ashley Cole is a nitwit, football criminal and who no doubt would have been an assassin had it not been for the game of football. Whatever he has with arsenal that is unforgiveable. What legacy would someone of his status leave for the youth considering that he has no forgiveness in his heart even if at all arsenal had offended him. By the way, I hope arsenal manager and players read his comment. This should be a warning for them and to try and make cole eat his word. Shame to you cole because arsenal would definitely finish above chelsea. Have you been able to win anything else since leaving arsenal?
