Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has urged his new club to make a transfer bid for Arsenal defender Kolo Touré.
Adebayor reckons that the Ivory Coast international is what the Eastlands club needs to mount a substantial challenge for a top four finish (effectively saying their defenders are a bit rubbish).
Touré has endured a mixed season with Arsenal, not enjoying a consistent run in the side and it's unclear now where he sits in the pecking order with new defender Thomas Vermaelen.
Adebayor said: "Kolo is a great friend of mine - he's a big player for Arsenal and a top defender.
"He's been playing in the Premier League for seven or eight years now so he knows this league really well.
"If the manager could get him, he can get exactly what this club wants and needs from him, I'm sure about that.
"I know how good Kolo is and I think what Man City needs now is a top-quality defender like him or John Terry."

Adebayor wants to play in the same team as Touré. Funny that... if only he'd put his head down, he might still be at the club that already has Touré.

They can have John Terry. Hands off Kolo and shut your mouth, Ade.
