Defender Gaël Clichy is not worried about clubs who are spending big amounts of money in order to strengthen their squads with superstar players.
The Frenchman says that it's not the first summer since his arrival in England that "super ordinary" transfers have taken place, and frankly doesn't believe that it will guarantee success.
Clichy is adamant that it takes more than money to build a winning squad, and sometimes the squad may not even gel together.
He said: "I've been here six years and this is not the first summer where a club have spent big money to get big players.
"But it does not always mean a team will do well.
"Sometimes when you have players coming in like this it can take six to seven months for them to adjust."
