Defender Armand Traore feels that his team have the necessary talent and ability to succeed in the coming season, despite the departures of two experienced players in Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Touré.
Both Adebayor and Touré left Arsenal to join Manchester City in lucrative deals but Traore says that him and his team mates are looking ahead and not thinking about the duo's departures.
Traore said: "I think you just have to get on with it. In football you cannot cry over a few people who have left.
"We have a big season coming up so we cannot stop and cry about players who leave.
"I don't think it is dangerous (to sell them to City). We have got the players here to compete."
And with players like Jack Wilshere coming through the ranks, it's easy to see why Traore isn't concerned about a lack of talent within the squad.
The young Englishman impressed everyone with his two Man of the Match performances during the Emirates Cup against Atletico Madrid and Rangers.
However, it's now down to Wilshere to keep his head down work hard. Traore added: "I think the fact that he has been training with the first team has helped him. You can see that on the pitch.
"He is a big talent and from the start people could see that he is naturally very strong and gifted with the ball.
"He definitely (has a bright future ahead of him)."
