Striker Nicklas Bendtner says that today's match against Manchester United at Old Trafford is an opportunity for him and his team mates to prove to the fans that this season will be different.
Arsenal have not won a major trophy since the FA Cup in 2005 and after last season's disappointing Champions League exit to United, the 21-year-old is eyeing redemption.
Bendter said: "No one would have predicted that result in a million years (the 3-1 defeat). I thought it would be tight - then came Kieran Gibbs's slip.
"It was miserable and saddening because he had played so fantastically whenever he had filled in for Gaël Clichy. We then pushed forward and they took full advantage.
"Now there is an immense desire to give something back to the fans, to show something really special is being built here this season, that it's no flash in the pan.
"That what we have worked on in pre-season DOES work even against the big teams.
"There is no place like Old Trafford to show you can be rewarded for playing football the right way."
Arsenal will have to maintain their perfect start to the season without influential captain Francesc Fabregas, who is out with a hamstring injury.
Manchester United, on the other hand, do not have defender Rio Ferdinand and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.
