Striker Nicklas Bendtner, fresh from signing a new contract, has said that his long-term future in the team is to be playing as a central striker, leading the attack.
In recent games this season, the Danish international has been deployed as a right winger, which I'm sure is because we have little to no option in that position in the team at the moment.
With Theo Walcott, Tomas Rosicky and Samir Nasri injured, the manager has decided that Bendtner was the next best alternative and to be fair to young Dane, he hasn't done too badly.
Bendtner said: "I am an attacker, not a winger. I have always seen myself as a striker and it is my goal to play as a striker all the time.
"It is important for me to play and when Arsène tells me to play a position I'll do that.
"Last season I played a lot from the left side and this season it's been on the right side but, like I said, I prefer to play up front."
