Winger Tomas Rosicky has said that he's happy with his return to competitive action after being injured since January 2008.
The Czech Republic international took part in a match against San Marino over the weekend, and then came on as a substitute in the 4-2 loss against Manchester City.
Rosicky said: "I enjoyed those 55 minutes against San Marino.
"That match has shown me that all my footballing skills are back in the right place.
"I was trying to avoid some tackles, but sometimes I did not manage to and picked up some knocks - not serious though.
"I needed that game to see someone make a slide tackle on me."
The 28-year-old scored Arsenal's second goal against City, but the Gunners were already 4-1 down at that point.
Rosicky added: "I cannot be satisfied with my performance if my team has lost. But I had the feeling that I was useful to the team.
"I am far from my ideal performing level but think I can be helpful to the team in my current shape.
"I am back and all right in terms of football skills but the crucial thing is that my body needs to get used to the enormous weekly workload."
Arsenal were visibly playing better against City the moment Rosicky came on, and one gets the feeling that perhaps he will be a key player in shaping our season ... provided he can stay fit.
