Defender Gaël Clichy has admitted that he would prefer to win the Premiership over the Champions League.
The Frenchman would definitely like to add Europe's biggest trophy to his CV, but doing so must not come at the expense of any efforts in the domestic league.
Clichy said: "Of course, if we win the Champions League it's fantastic for the club because we have never done it. But if you win it and finish fifth in the Premier League then there's no point.
"When you play in the Premier League for so many games and win it and win the cup, that shows you've been the best team in the country that year. But you can win the Champions League without being the best team.
"You have to have some luck and anything can happen in one game. After the World Cup it's the best cup - but I'd still prefer to win the Premier League."
