Winger Tomas Rosicky is hoping to be able to extend his contract at the club, after having successfully returned from injury.
The Czech Republic midfielder was out injured since January 2008 but seems to have gotten over his injury problems as manager Arsène Wenger has started him in more and more games.
Rosicky said: "I spoke recently to the boss about a new contract. We haven't started negotiating yet and we'll see what happens.
"I want to stay and my fitness is getting better and better. You miss the Champions League and the Premier League when you are out for so long.
"With the number of offensive players we have, I am happy to stick around and fight for my place."
