Wenger says attacking trio can be aces in the pack

Manager Arsène Wenger has said that attacking trio Samir Nasri, Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott have an important role to play in helping the club challenge effectively for honours.

French international Nasri broke his leg in a training ground incident, but made a successful comeback in the game against AZ Alkmaar.

Rosicky recently recovered from a niggly long-term injury and despite being out of action since January 2008, has put in some good performances this season.

Walcott is still recovering from his injury but it is understood that he will have an important part to play this season.

Wenger said: "I believe there is a period in November when you have a little more injuries than before.

"But we have a special case because we have some players [coming back] who have nearly not played this season.

"If you take players like Rosicky, like Walcott, like Nasri, it is a period where they can come into the team.

"Nasri played against Alkmaar, it was basically his first game, Rosicky has played three games and Walcott has basically not played this year."
