Reading about the 4-1 victory at Wolves over the weekend, words such as classy, dismantling and exquisite were used. This only went to illustrate the point that I was planning on making this week, that Arsenal, on current form, are the best side in the world.

Look at the two best leagues, Spain and England, and you'll find a stuttering Barcelona, as seen in a midweek stalemate against Rubin Kazan and Real Madrid who are a team of individuals and don't look the same side without Ronaldo. In England, Chelsea would be the closest side to Arsenal, however in recent weeks they've lost to Aston Villa and Wigan, while Manchester United are still winning but without dominating games and scoring plenty, whatever Sir Alex may say they are not the same side without Ronaldo.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are on a double figure unbeaten run and are top scorers in the Premiership. Okay, so a couple of own goals in the Wolves game and a decent looking fixture list has helped them into this good form but what cannot be denied is how easy Arsenal look like sweeping teams away and how impressive recent attacking displays have been against Alkmaar and Wolves this weekend.

In Robin van Persie, Arsène Wenger claims to have the best striker in the Premier League and while one Ivorian, Chelsea striker would argue that, it is clear he is, like the rest of the team, in hot form. Cesc Fabregas is scoring, assisting and once again Arsenal can lay claim to another best in the Premiership in his position. The last time Fabregas was in this kind of goal scoring form was in the 07/08 season when Arsenal came within four points of winning the title and this season I feel Arsenal could once again come close to the title.

Barcelona are probably the only other side who can claim to have Arsenal's strength and options in the attacking side of the team. With Arshavin, van Persie, Fabregas, Eduardo, Rosicky and Bendtner, Walcott and Vela still injured, Arsenal can rotate and still pose a great threat to any side, Barca are probably the only other side who could put out similar strength going forward but with Ibrahimovic still being integrated and the loss of Eto'o being felt it leaves in my opinion Arsenal as the best team in the world on current form.

The only worrying thing for Arsène Wenger will be that his side have hit top form too early, that is what Sir Alex has done so well over his time in charge of Manchester United, he gets his sides to hit top form in exactly the right time but after slightly rotating his side at Wolves, it seems Arsène is preparing his side for the long haul and to be ready for the time when prizes are handed out. After all, the team may not have been there and done it in terms of winning the title but the manager has and he will know exactly what is needed.

I also wanted to mention the potential takeover, it seems Kroenke or silent Stan has two paths he can take, he can sit on the 29.99% he already has and use it as a blocking stake to keep Usmanov away from staging his own takeover attempt. Kroenke could also go for the all out takeover attempt, he only needs a couple of shares for him to be required to make a bid, and while this is probably not needed at the moment, if he runs the club as it is and maybe puts in some of his own money for transfers for example it could be quite a good thing for the club.

I am a NBA fan and Kroenke is also the owner of Denver Nuggets, and if anything can be taken from his ownership of the Nuggets, then he would be a good owner of Arsenal. Denver is at the moment one of the best sides in the NBA and play a good style of basketball, as well as having a well backed manager, so if he were to run Arsenal like the Denver Nuggets, I would say we could not get a better owner, if he were to launch a takeover. Only time will tell on that front but on the field at the moment things could not get much better and there'll never be a better chance to break our trophy drought.
