Midfielder Jack Wilshere is hoping to recover from injury in time to face billionaires Manchester City in the Carling Cup.
Wilshere currently has an ankle problem but says that the signs are encouraging that he will be available for selection for that match.
We lost 4-2 earlier this season in a hot-tempered match in the Eastlands, and it's safe to say that there are one or two Arsenal players chomping at the bits to get involved in this match.
Manager Arsène Wenger usually plays an under-strength side in the Carling Cup and if that policy does not change for the City match, Wilshere might well indeed make an appearance.
Wilshere said: "I picked up my injury in training but I should be back for the Manchester City game.
"It will be good to play against Manchester City and I hope they play a full team.
"We will go there and believe we can win and hopefully we can. I think now we are into the last eight it is realistic for us to win the trophy.
"I think we can beat Manchester City and if we do then the competition will be wide open. We can go all the way."
