Left-back Kieran Gibbs was last night rushed to hospital for X-ray scans on a suspected 'broken metatarsal', which could rule him out for at least three months.
The 20-year-old had to be substituted after 21 minutes in the match against Lithuania, and England boss Stuart Pearce last night said that it was definitely an ankle injury but the worry was that if there was a fracture.
A Football Association spokesman told BBC Sport that it did not look as though Gibbs had seriously damaged his ankle.
UPDATE: It's now been confirmed that the left-back has only suffered very heavy bruising on his ankle, and will be out of action for approximately two weeks.
The England Under-21 international has been deputising for BOTH Gaël Clichy and Armand Traore, the first and second choice left-backs at the club.
If the injury is confirmed, we are without three players in one position. Surely now you must believe that there is a curse on us in November?
Gibbs joins an already long list of players out injured for the club. According to Physio Room, Arsenal already top the Premier League injury charts.
The following are a list of players currently injured:
Kieran Gibbs (suspected broken metatarsal)
Robin van Persie (partially-fractured ankle)
Gaël Clichy (back)
Lukasz Fabianski (thigh muscle strain)
Jack Wilshere (ankle / foot)

Theo Walcott (MCL knee ligament)
Tomas Rosicky (knee)
Nicklas Bendtner (inguinal hernia)
Abou Diaby (ankle / foot)

Let's hope we have a decent amount of cover for the crucial November period.
