Striker cum winger Theo Walcott is hoping to be selected for this weekend's top-of-the-table clash against Premiership leaders Chelsea.
With injuries to strikers Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner, Walcott is hoping that this is his chance to make an impact on the team in a central striking position.
The England international has been played mainly as a winger but with Tomas Rosicky, Andrey Arshavin and Samir Nasri competing for two positions, Walcott feels his talents are better used upfront.
Having just returned from injury himself, he made an encouraging appearance against Standard Liege, but says that the decision on whether he is ready for Chelsea rests with manager Arsène Wenger.
Walcott said: "My knee feels fine. It definitely has been frustrating with the injuries but you can't help that.
"I've been working hard trying to get fit for a long time so hopefully my injury problems are out of the way now and I can just concentrate on playing for Arsenal.
"I feel great, I feel sharp as ever and I've been training well but the boss will decide if I play against Chelsea.
"It's a shame about Robin because he's done such a tremendous job for us this year.
"We've got great strikers coming in for him so I'm one of a bunch of strikers who could do that job but again you'll have to ask the boss that question.
"I'd love to play up front but in this club I'd play anywhere; it is such a great squad and we've got so many brilliant players."
