Young midfielder Jack Wilshere has admitted that he would be open to loan move in January in order to gain vital first team experience.
The 17-year-old is one of the stars of the Arsenal Academy and with our exit from the Carling Cup will find even fewer opportunities for him to play with the first team.
A loan move would suit Wilshere, but there is a possibility that manager Arsène Wenger thinks that such an option is too early for the Englishman's career.
There was even talk of England manager Fabio Capello including Wilshere in his squad for the World Cup - for educational purposes ala Theo Walcott - but interest in that has since died down.
Wilshere said: "I would think about it but I think it would have to be in the Premier League.
"Not that the Championship is a bad league at all, but it might suit me differently.
"I have seen things about Middlesbrough, Celtic and Rangers being interested and there may be others, but a Premier League side would be better.
"I would, of course, rather stay and be involved at Arsenal though, so we will see what happens."
