Silvestre praise for Jack Wilshere

Defender Mikael Silvestre has heaped praise on young midfielder Jack Wilshere, saying that the Englishman is one of the most talented players he's trained with.

Wilshere has been the star of the Arsenal production line this season, putting in some raving performances in the pre-season Emirates Cup tournament.

There is even talk of him being included in England's World Cup squad, and a possible loan deal in January to another Premiership club.

Silvestre said: "He's among the best young players I've trained and played with.

"Wilshere is very tricky to play against. He's close to the ground so it's difficult to get the ball off him.

"He protects the ball well. He's unpredictable so when you train with him everyday it's difficult to catch him.

"He's really matured. We expect him to be always a step ahead of the others and we hope he carries on like this."
