Wenger: Why the Villa game is vital

Manager Arsène Wenger has urged his team to focus on earning three points against opponents Aston Villa today, explaining why the game was vital.

Leaders Chelsea dropped some important points yesterday against Birmingham City, and have now only won once in their last 5 games. Champions Manchester United also play Hull City today.

Wenger said: "It is a game where if you look at the table you will come to a conclusion very easily [how important it is].

"It is a game where we can strengthen our position in the league so that is why we will be completely focused on that.

"The table looks right at the moment because I can't see why the table should be wrong.

"We have to make sure that at the end of the season the table is right with everybody else."
