Manager Arsène Wenger has admitted that he's pleased with the development of midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who played a crucial role in today's win against West Ham in the third round of the FA Cup.
The Hammers were leading 1-0 after taking the lead right on the stroke of half-time, but midfielder Ramsey pulled one back for the team in the second half. Ramsey was also voted Man of the Match by ex-Arsenal player John Hartson, who was part of the pundit panel for ITV.
Wenger says that he is expecting Ramsey to play a bigger part in the season, now that midfielder Alex Song is departing for the African Cup of Nations.
He said: "He improves from game to game. I set him a target at the start of the season to play between 15 and 20 games and it looks like he will get that very quickly.
"He has a chance to play at the moment. He can play on the flanks and at full-back. He is physically very strong, quick and has a good stamina.
"He is a good dribbler but of course his best position is centre midfield because he is a goalscorer as well."
