Defender Thomas Vermaelen admits that he was disappointed with the basic mistakes that the team made in yesterday's game against Everton.
Arsenal had to chase the game twice against the Blues and managed to salvage a draw with goals from Denilson (1-1) and one more from Rosicky (2-2) in injury time.
The result was disappointing because a number of clubs didn't play due to the bad weather and it was a chance for the Gunners to make up ground against Chelsea.
Champions Manchester United also drew in their match against Birmingham and it would have been a good opportunity to overtake them whilst still having a game in hand.
Vermaelen, lamenting the defensive lapses against Everton, told BBC Sport: "I think we are disappointed today because if you had watched the game you would have seen that we controlling and dictating the second half.
"Okay, we weren't so good in the first half and we couldn't play our game and we conceded two stupid goals.
"The [bad weather] is not to blame because the pitch was very good and we could play our game.
"We're still in the title race and we have to be confident in our next few games."
