Arsenal scored four quality goals to come back and beat Bolton 4-2 at the Emirates last night.
But our strikers still aren't scoring. How long can this Fabregas hot streak last? Can he do what Ronaldo did for Man United and become the main goalscorer?
Eduardo can play Wengerball. He links up well with Fabregas and Arshavin, but 4-3-3 doesn't seem to suit him in terms of getting the goals. Some fans on these forums are losing patience with him, and believe he has been hyped up since his injury.
Personally, I believe we saw some flashes of natural brilliance before that horrific injury, and surely those predatory instincts in front of goal haven't gone. I still think it's down to a combination of fitness and confidence. Remember that this is his first real run in the side since coming back last season. He's had minor setbacks since then so we shouldn't be too surprised that his fitness is still not quite what it should be.
I believe in him, but he might need to be eased back slower than this. Arsenal shouldn't accommodate a striker who isn't scoring. January is nearly over and it's frustrating that there doesn't seem to have been any serious moves to bring in another striker.
As well as a striker, I think Tomas Rosicky could be key to us winning the league. It might sound like I'm singing a rather different tune to the one I sang on here when the Czech midfielder recently penned his new contract, but never in that article did I doubt the man's ability.
He brings something different to the team. Despite his injuries, he's actually still very quick, and scored a goal yesterday that I don't think any of our midfielders could score. He's a much better option than Nasri at the moment.
Sadly though, I genuinely don't think we'll see enough of him. It's a real shame, because it's games like last night that make you feel he's worth waiting around for, because he is that good, but realistically we can't rely on him as a long-term solution.
Arsenal are top with the worst defence in the top four, and are the league's top scorers without strikers scoring goals. It's a weird situation. Makes you think it wouldn't take much work to make this team even better, or much money.
A new goalkeeper, another striker, a stand-in for Song so we see as little of Denilson as possible. Even just one of those three this January could make a big difference.
