Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has insisted that Arsenal are still in the title race, despite now being six points behind leaders Chelsea.
The Spaniard has been much criticised for his performances this season, especially on Sunday, when an own-goal gifted the Premiership champions the lead.
Many Arsenal fans have identified Almunia as the weak link in the team, and are urging manager Arsène Wenger to sign a new keeper in the summer.
Almunia said: "We are on schedule to do good things this season, we have only a little step to get back to the top of the league.
"When you think about where we were after the Chelsea game [in November], that is a great achievement.
"Sometimes it is better to come back from third or fourth to challenge than to be at the top all the time."
