Nicklas Bendtner was the hero for Arsenal last night as they made easy work of Porto in the Champions League.
The young Dane scored three of Arsenal's five goals to propell his side into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
This came just days after the striker was in the spotlight for the wrong reasons against Burnley, after missing a host of easy chances.
Bendtner admitted the early goal was a boost to his confidence, saying: "It was a nice thing to score early because obviously I saw Andrey got a tackle in so it was good for me to score early but I don't know if that affected my game or not.
The Denmark international added an important second shortly after before slotting away a late penalty, but insists he won't let his confidence get the better of him, as he focuses on future challenges.
He said: "No it didn't go very well in my last game, but sometimes it's one of those days and today I put it right.
"Every time I play a game I put it behind me, as soon as it's finished it'll be the same with this one.
"We're through to the next round and now we have to focus on that so I'm happy with my hat-trick but tomorrow it's forgotten."
